things I’ve done
Built, fixed, and improved — at work and on my own.
at work
- Custom alerting for RHEL servers on GCE, targeting LDAP/S authentication failures.
- Reworked the platform health-check pipelines: 58s faster, 200 fewer lines, wired into GCP SLOs.
- Observability SME for the department.
- Built and tested an automated solution for migration of repositories across hosting providers.
- Built curated SLO Module and workstream templates for Banks internal provider repository.
on my own
- Ran a fully code-managed GCP stack before moving to dedicated hardware.
- Migrated off GCP to self-hosted, with minimal downtime.
- Every service on the server sits behind SSO, a mesh VPN, or both.
- Built and maintain a homelab and Ubiquiti network — servers, storage arrays, switches, WAPs, gateways, a UPS, a firewall, and a Pi running network analysis, SIEM, ad-blocking and DNS.
- Built a series of E2E CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Built a custom automated disk tiering solution for handling hot and cold storage for various filestores and backups on my homelab.
- Built a custom cloud frontend for managing and monitoring my homelab infrastructure.
- Built a custom blog backend for my personal website allowing for simple and live content management.
- Built chat, a serverless, end-to-end encrypted group chat for the terminal in C — peers find each other over the BitTorrent DHT and talk directly, with hybrid post-quantum encryption, a per-message ratchet, and optional Tor routing.
- Built, owned, and maintained a multi-node full-stack SaaS application and infrastructure with various network, application security, optimisation, and obfuscation techniques.
- Built custom Windows kernel drivers to allow low-level DMA analysis of applications.
